The contract award is valid for one year plus two option years. Newberry Group will be providing licenses for the Websense Data solution, which will allow the agency to protect confidential data on their network. The solution uses automated policy-based enforcement that blocks, quarantines, removes, encrypts and audits in real-time.</p>

It is the largest contract in the FBI’s history, and can be used throughout the Department of Justice. Newberry included in $5 billion federal contractThe Newberry Group, Inc is included in a $5 billion information technology contract with the U.S. General Services Administration.<br />
<br />
The contract, known as the Veterans Technology Services Government-Wide Acquisition Contract, is the result of a 2004 executive order from President Bush calling for three percent of all federal contracting to be done with Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.<br />
<br />
As a subcontractor for Vienna, Va.-based Veterans Enterprise Technical Solutions, Inc., Newberry can perform Systems Operations and Maintenance services and Information Systems Engineering services for a variety of federal agencies under the contract. It is an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity five-year contract with one five-year option. More than forty other contractors can provide services under the contract.<br />

“This contract provides another vehicle that allows our customers to reach The Newberry Group” said Diego Maldonado, Senior Vice President of Newberry’s Government Technology Group.<br />

Maldonado said the contract will give Newberry increased access to existing federal clients such as the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Air Force as well as new clients in the federal government. The contract is part of the Navy’s SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) Rolling Admissions solicitation. The wide-ranging services in SeaPort-e include Information Technology-related services such as Software Engineering, Development, Programming, and Network Support; Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability Support; Quality Assurance Support; and Information System Development, Information Assurance (cyber security), and Information Technology Support.<br />

Under the contract, Newberry can perform services for Naval Sea Systems Command; Naval Air Systems Command; Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command; Naval Supply Systems Command; Military Sealift Command; Naval Facilities Engineering Command; Strategic Systems Programs; the Office of Naval Research; the Defense Threat Reduction Agency; and the U.S. Marine Corps.<br />

Newberry will assist in the design, development, and delivery of cyber-security, law enforcement, counterintelligence, cyber forensics, and incident response courses.<br />
<br />
CSC won this task order, which was competitively procured by GSA’s FEDSIM under the GSA’s Millennia Government-wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC), in September 2009. It has a one-year base period with four one-year options. The total estimated value is $85 million.<br />
